According to Dangote, it is time for Africans to put Africa at the center of its own development by harnessing their entrepreneurial and intellectual skillsAs the series of attacks on Nigerians in South Africa escalates, billionaire businessmen Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola have called for peace and expressed displeasure over the sad development.Dangote on Wednesday, September 4, called on Africans to collectively shun hate and reprisal attacks and put Africa at the centre of its own development.This, he said can be achieved when the people of Africa harness their entrepreneurial and intellectual skills. He said: "Our aspirations for a shared and sustainable prosperity can only be achieved when we live in peace and unity, shunning hate and any form of violent attack on African brotherhood."It is time for Africans to put Africa at the center of its own development, by harnessing our entrepreneurial and intellectual skills. Let us collectively shun hate and reprisal attacks." While condemning the xenophobia attacks in South African, Otedola said his heart cries for Nigerians who were senselessly killed in that country and prayed for unity among Africans.He said: "My heart cries for my Nigerian brothers and sisters who have been senselessly killed in South Africa. I strongly condemn this hateful discrimination and xenophobia. I pray for us to come together as a continent to fight this injustice."Legit.ng previously reported that human rights lawyer Femi Falana called on the federal government to sue the South African government over the killing of Nigerians.There had been reported attacks against Nigerians and their businesses in South Africa. The human rights activist advised the federal government to also demand for compensation from the South African government.Falana said: “Apart from the official condemnation of the shameful and cowardly attacks the south African government should fish out the culprits and prosecute them.
